Pool Barrier Revision - Draft Australian Standard AS1926.1
The draft of the revised Australian Standard AS1926.1– Swimming Pool Safety – Safety Barriers for Swimming Pools has been released and is open for public comment until 14 December '23.

AS1926.1 is critical to the swimming pool and spa industry and the proposed changes to the draft standard include several new requirements that have the potential to impact your business. Amongst a raft of changes to the Standard, a key area for Landscape Designers to review is the Clause 2.2.6 Plants within a NCZ section.
LDI Fellow, Karen Staunton-Ross, and SPASA Chief Policy Officer, Spiros Dassakis have been attending regular meetings with industry representatives and advocating on behalf of our industries' to improve the standard.
SPASA will be hosting an online presentation aimed at highlighting the positive aspects and key concerns of the draft standard. SPASA will be seeking industry input and hereby invite you to attend this webinar:
